Welcome to the Thomas More Society, a space of connection, fellowship and witness for Catholics in the legal professions.
Inspired by the heroic witness of our patron St Thomas More, we are committed to upholding the virtues of justice and integrity in the administration of justice for the common good.
The Thomas More Society is saddened by the recent death of His Holiness Pope Francis, and is praying with hope and gratitude for the happy repose of his soul. All are invited to a special Requiem Mass which will be offered for Pope Francis, and at which prayers for the new Pope will be said, to take place at 6.30pm on Thursday 15 May 2025 in St Etheldreda’s Church, Ely Place, London EC1N 6RY. Mass will be celebrated by the Chaplain of the Thomas More Society, Fr Andrew Bowden.

Our annual keynote address will be given by Dame Rachel de Souza, the Children's Commissioner for England. The keynote will be followed by drinks and canapes or dinner for members of the Society and their guests.
This popular event takes place near the feast day of St Thomas More and St John Fisher. The Summer Reception is a fantastic opportunity for society members and their guests to enjoy a relaxing social evening. For many years Charles Russell Speechlys have hosted the summer reception on their stunning roof terrace.
